What we collect

On the waitlist: your email address only. Nothing else.

In the product (when launched): your account email, songwriter profile, songs and lyrics you create, detailed product activity, AI request/response records where needed for authorship auditing and coaching reports, and standard server logs including IP address and timestamps.

What we never do

We do not use your songs, lyrics, or profile to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.

We do not sell, share, or broker your data to advertisers, data brokers, or third parties for any commercial purpose. We do not run targeted advertising.

The only exceptions to data sharing are: the managed AI infrastructure/providers that power Harrington's features (who receive your content only when you invoke an AI action, and are prohibited from using it for training), and disclosures required by applicable law. Legal obligations are outside our discretion; we comply where the law requires it and have no control over those requirements.

What the AI knows about you

When Harrington's AI features run, the context they receive is limited strictly to what you have explicitly and consciously provided: your songwriter profile (the personality, influences, experience, and preferences you described during onboarding) and the song or section you are actively working on.

Harrington does not infer preferences from your behaviour, pull data from external sources, analyse your social networks, or research you in any way beyond what you have directly told us. We take your input at face value. If you choose to provide a contrived or minimal profile, that is what the AI works with. If you provide a detailed, honest one, the assistance will reflect that. The quality of the AI's help is a direct function of what you put in — nothing is assumed or supplemented.

Harrington records detailed product activity so the product can support authorship audit trails, coaching reports, debugging, safety, and product improvement. That activity record is not used as hidden personality profiling for AI. AI context comes from explicit song, profile, and workflow inputs, plus any audit or report artifact you choose to generate.

Audit trails and coaching reports

Harrington may record edits, AI suggestions, accepted or rejected outputs, workflow actions, timestamps, and related song context. The purpose is to help you show a trail of human authorship and, when you choose, prepare a coaching report for a mentor, coach, co-writer, producer, or other trusted collaborator.

These records are part of the product's authorship and collaboration design. They are not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Public launch privacy language will be finalized with legal review before accounts or payments are accepted.

AI features

When you invoke an AI feature in Harrington — a suggestion, a rhyme, a coaching turn — the relevant content is sent through Harrington's managed AI infrastructure/providers to generate a response. This is how the feature works. It does not happen in the background or without your action.

Harrington's agreements with these providers prohibit them from using your content to train their models. Your lyrics do not become training data.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your waitlist email at any time by emailing hello@harrington.coach. We will remove it promptly.

When the product launches, you can export all your songs and profile data, and delete your account entirely, directly from settings — no email required.

Data reliability and your responsibility

Harrington takes every reasonable measure to store your data reliably. We use professional-grade infrastructure with redundancy and backups.

However, no cloud service can guarantee against data loss in all circumstances. Your creative work is yours — and protecting it is ultimately your responsibility. Export your songs regularly using Harrington's export features and keep your own copies. Harrington is not liable for data loss.

Your data may be handled by the following services:

• Stripe — payment processing (product only)
• Resend — transactional email (product only)
• Managed AI infrastructure/providers — AI features; content sent only when you invoke an AI action (product only). Exact AI subprocessors are maintained in Harrington's private legal record and are available on request.
• PostHog — product analytics and behavioral signals (product only)
• Sentry — error tracking; no song content included (product only)
